isync + verizon v710 + bluetooth, part deux:
So a while ago I fought with ical and bluetooth setup assistant and my verizon motorola v710 with bluetooth… and got isync to sync calendars and phone numbers with it! it was amazing!
but then i updated to os x 10.4.3, and a new isync came in– 2.1.1! twas death for such a miraculous world, where devices actually talked to one another…
BUT all was not lost: fighting the same fight, I got it back: and here’s the one change you have to make: open /Applications: iSync.app: Contents: PlugIns: ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice: Contents: PlugIns: PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin: Contents: Resources: MetaClasses.plist and change the InheritsFrom key to look like this: “com.motorola.usb-bt.0×22B8/0×4902″

(it used to look like “com.motorola.usb.0×22B8/0×22A22
then delete the phone in isync, and re-add it– and all should work.
now: to get bluetooth modem working…

It works in ISync 2.0 on OSX 10.4.2.

i changed the file with text edit just like u said to. my bluetooth manager says that i can syn contacts and events, but my isync says that it cannot connect with the phone. i need some help. one more thing, after you get this working is there any way you can send pictures and mp3’s to the phone ,too. i have also heard that you can go to nearest verizon wireless dealer and they will unlock the bluetooth capabilities for you(but do not hold me to it) Thanks!

What versions of isync and osx? I don’t think you’ll be able to push files. If you figure it out, let me know!

iSync version 2.1.1 and mac OSX tiger 10.4.4 in in bluetooth manager it says sync calendars and events in iSync but when i go to isync it says that it cannot connect with the phone. Thanks for helping. If u know what is wrong please let me know
P.S. if u go to a verizon wireless dealer, will they unlock OBEX for u?
